What this site is
Khmer Calendar is an independent bilingual website for the Khmer lunar calendar, Cambodian public holidays, Buddhist holy days, and major festivals. We publish dates and explanations in Khmer and English so families, students, and travelers can plan around Chaul Chnam Thmey, Pchum Ben, Visak Bochea, and the rest of the year. The companion mobile app is Khmer Calendar +, listed on the App Store and Google Play.
Who runs it
Khmer Calendar editorial publishes this site from Cambodia. We are not a ministry, gazette, or official holiday authority. Lunar dates come from a Khmer calendar engine; civil holiday names come from published Cambodian observances. If a government circular disagrees with a date, the circular wins.
How we maintain dates
Lunar calculations come from our Khmer calendar engine (lunar day, moon phase, zodiac animal, Buddhist Era, and Sak era). Civil holiday names follow published Cambodian observances. We re-check the 2025–2028 public-holiday list against official circulars each season and record corrections with a visible update date on guides, holiday pages, and month pages. Last full review: 2026-09-26. If a government circular disagrees with a date, the circular wins — confirm workplace or legal decisions against the official notice.
What we do not do
We no longer publish football fixtures. This site is a calendar and cultural reference, not a sports wire, not a copy of Wikipedia, and not a substitute for legal advice or a workplace HR calendar.
