Pchum Ben Day 3 usually closes the paid holiday cluster. Final offerings, family meals, and the return trip to the city fill the day. Kan Ben has already run for a fortnight; the three public days are the climax, not the whole rite. After Day 3 the calendar returns to ordinary holy days.
